Our History

A BIT ABOUT US

• 1996 - Having an aptitude for diagnosing and fixing computers, Steve Hyde together with his partner Mary Whitman, formed Northants Computer Service.  While Steve repaired PC's above a small shop in Rushden, Mary marketed their services to local companies.

• 1998 - The need for affordable computers was growing.  Northants Computer Service moved to larger premises in Kettering.

• 1999 - A second shop in Market Harborough was opened.

​​

• 2000 to 2009 - Northants Computers became a DSA Accredited Supplier (Disabled Students's Allowance) equipping hundreds of students with their tailored PC's and other computer and specialist ergonomic equipment.

• 2010 - Due to conditions at the time and after much consideration, Steve and Mary agree to close the Kettering branch to concentrate fully on expanding the Market Harborough store.

• 2017 - Northants Computer Service introduced HomeFix, a convenient Remote PC Repair Service. This was well-received and has since become a popular customer choice.

• 2018 - About time for a name change...  Welcome to Harborough Computers.
